90% of the proceeds from V-Day 2010 NYC 440 Studios will be donated to Day One. Day One educates, organizes and advocates on behalf of young people at risk of or experiencing intimate partner violence. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to V-Day’s Campaign for Women and Girls in The Democratic Republic of Congo.

CURRENT VIDEO GAME

HEAVENLY SWORD

Ok the reviews were not that good because this game was really hyped up. The game follows the story of Nariko, the fierce red-haired warrior whose clan has long protected the "Heavenly Sword", a god's blade of immense power that drains its wielder of their life force. Not being born a boy to fulfill the prophecy and her mother dying at birth Nariko is told her father and the rest of the clan hate and that she's cursed. She carries the world on her shoulders as she commands the power of the heavenly sword. Yeah it's gonna be 6 hours of combo's but so far it's fun, a great story, awesome combo moves and I have fun playing it. It's a really sexy game beautifully made. If anyone has beat this game please tell me your thought's. I"ll post my thought's after I beat it.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH

ARTIST ONDER BORA (TURKEY)

Born in Ordu, 1957, Önder Bora finished his education in Ünye. He graduated from İstanbul Atatürk Teacher Training College – Science Section in 1980. He worked as the science teacher in Sivas, Balıkesir and İzmir. Under the influence of his art teacher and his own father, he started to become interested in art much more. Since then, art become his way of living. His drawings attracted his art teacher’s attention.
His wife – who is also an art teacher – supported his work. While doing this, she criticised him objectively. This helped him to have an objective way of evaluating his own art.
In his abstract works, he shows his creativity. He uses acrilics while painting still life, people, labour and irregularity theme-based works.
Explaining his works as “everyone of all ages can find something in my works”, he works at home what he calls “my secret workshop”.
He is, now, working as a science teacher at Özel İzmir Ata İlköğretim Okulu. He believes that dreaming is the best thing he does even if they are nightmares. His passion about dreaming – that cannot be explained in anyway – makes him come closer to surrealism.
